Ameriwood - Getting Replacement parts is a joke
So I ordered a tv stand through Walmart.com (brand - altra furniture) and it came quite quickly to me but as I take pieces out I notice that the bottom base has a significant crack in it and the top base had surface damage. I was a little upset given the fact that I paid $120 for this and had my tv and other devices setup for it.
So I go to ameriwood.com to order replacement parts, easy to do, no worries, about 2 weeks later I get an email on 12/22/2014 stating they received my order and to give 7-14 business days for the parts to arrive. With it being christmas that week I gave it extra time and now here I am 01/27/2015 and still haven't seen my replacement parts. I call customer service and the lady tells me the order is still open and they are waiting for one of the pieces to come over seas (our country is further going down the toilet). I was pissed, I mean why not notify me and let me know what's going on?
and I kindly said that to the representative (because I know it wasn't her fault plus I've worked customer service and know what it's like), I at least now know what's going on but I will NEVER buy from them ever again and now that I know this awesome website (pissedconsumer.com) I will check it before buying online again. If you do buy Altra furniture or anything that Ameriwood makes I suggest getting at a store where you can return it to them or get a replacement from them.
Reason of review: Order processing issue.
Preferred solution: Price reduction.

So I finally got the replacement parts and surprise, surprise, they were worse than the original parts. I went ahead with the original parts and put the stand together. So pissed though and would love to get some compensation of some sort but really don't want to go through the hassle of all that (I would most likely end up wasting my time and possibly more money just to end up getting screwed once again).
